Creamy Blueberry Oatmeal with Maple Syrup

Hi guys! I hope you are all doing well. I wanted to share with you my simple recipe for creamy blueberry oatmeal with maple syrup. This is one of my go to breakfasts for busy weekday mornings because it takes minutes to put together. Seriously…like 5 minutes and its done. Also, its nutritious and filling so I know my babes are starting the day off right.

I buy organic instant oatmeal for this recipe. I do also use thick cut oats but those take like 10 minutes to get to the consistency I’m looking for so it’s not something I would use during the week.

My kids love this recipe. My son tends to eat the berries out and leave the oatmeal unless I help him out. They both eat a bunch so I always make enough for two full servings.


1 cup organic instant oatmeal

1 cup water

3/4 cup almond milk

1/2 – 3/4 cup frozen blueberries

Real Maple Syrup for topping (we get ours at Costco)

  1. Bring water and almond milk to a low boil.
  2. Stir in oatmeal and simmer for about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. When oatmeal is just about done stir in the blueberries. Put the lid on the pan and set aside for 2 minutes.
  4. Serve with a good drizzle of maple syrup.
